Bus from Leon to Matagalpa

Today I got up a little bit later than usual. I made breakfast of pancakes and bananas and had it with coffee. I then showered and packed up my stuff. After I checked out of my room I hung out in the hostel checking my email. Then later I went to find something to eat and walked around Leon for a bit. I ate at a Chinese restaurant and then went to find someone to change my money into cordoba's. I walked to the church to find the guy who could change my money. I walked around for a bit and found him sitting on the corner with a big wad of money out just sitting on the corner. He didn't have cordoba's so he directed me to another guy at a market who could change my money. So now I had to hurry because my bus leaves at 2:45 pm and it was close to 2pm. So I walked to the market and asked someone where I could find the guy to change my money. They directed me to him and I was able to change my money. I then took a taxi back to the hostel, grabbed my things, and took the taxi to the bus station. I got to the bus and paid and they put my backpack on top of the bus. It was a long 3 hour ride to Matagalpa. It was three people to a seat on one side and 2 people to a seat on the other side. It was hot and sticky. The guys in the back, close to where I was sitting, were horsing around in the back and being loud. When I finally got to Matagalpa, 3 plus long hours later, I got my stuff and went to find a taxi. I am not sure how taxi's work here but I think they are communal taxi's. You have to ask a taxi if it can take you to your destination. If they aren't going that way they say no and drive off. Also you usually ride with a couple of other people going the same direction the taxi is going. So after asking 5 or so taxi's I was picked up by a taxi. I negotiated the price ( I had asked a woman how much it should cost to get to my hostel and was told C10) before I got in the taxi. He tried to charge me C20 (he told me C10 for my bag) so we negotiated it down to C15. The driver dropped me off at my hostel. It wasnt that late so I spent the night watching tv, emailing, and browsing the internet.
