You had to watch where you were going as tree branches could hit you. We then took a long ride (over 30 minutes) up to the mountain. We got out and began our tour. We walked quite a bit and the terrain was a bit rough but it was a good hike. We saw 7 waterfalls and had the opportunity to jump into the waterfalls.

El Parque Nacional El Imposible
So today I woke up early to make my way to the park/volcano. I woke up at 5:30 but dozed on and off until 6am. I left the house around 6:40 and walked to the bus stop. I took the bus from Ataco to Ahuachapan. I got off at the stop and asked for directions to the next bus stop. I stopped to eat breakfast and and bought some pears. I then walked to the bus stop and got on the bus to Tacuba. Unfortunately for me the bus wouldn't leave until it had filled up a bit. So we waited at least 30 minutes for it to get a bit more full. Then finally we were off. When we got to Tacuba I asked a lady what stop I had to get off to go to the park. She told me to get off on a stop and go to what appeared to be an information center to ask. I was told it was far and I needed to continue to walk up the hill. I walked up the hill for awhile and then stopped in a grocery store to ask how far it was. I was told it was very far and that I had to take a car to get there. The sales lady then asked a customer how much it would cost to drive me up the mountain. I then asked for the hostel Mama y Papa (where they give tours) and was directed to the hostel. When I got there I was late as the tour began at 8. I was told by the lady called Mama that they had already left. She then called someone and told me they could take me up the mountain. I was also told there was only one tour, the waterfall tour, that consisted of jumping in waterfalls. I had read in my guide book that there were more tours and asked about the other ones. I was told there was only one tour. Well I had already made it this far so I thought why not. Mama and another girl made me sandwiches and packed up a lunch, i paid, and off I went. The man took me up the mountain in his truck and then dropped me off where the rest of the group had been waiting. We then got into the back of the truck and rode the rest of the way up the mountain standing up.

I walked around a couple of waterfalls and was lowered into others as I have a fear of heights and I can't swim! A bad combination for such tours. They also didn't bring a life jacket since I arrived late. All in all it was a good tour. We all had fun and at the end we all got back into to the truck and rode about an hour back to the hostel. I then found a bus and after waiting at least 20 minutes on the bus went back to Ahuchapan. I then took a bus to Ataco. I walked back to Alexis house without getting lost. I talked with Alexis and decided it was to late to go to Sanata Ana and decided to stay one more night.
